Don’t get us wrong – we absolutely love Colorado skiing, but our neighbors to the north have a few hidden gems that are worth exploring. Here are our favorite ski resorts in Wyoming:

 

  1. Snowy Range Ski and Recreation Area

Distance from Fort Collins: 1 hour, 45 minutes

Lift Ticket Price Range: $0 to $45

Description: Snowy Range has 27 trails ranging from beginner to advanced. The resort offers private lessons as well as ski and snowboard rentals.

  1. Hogadon Ski Area

Distance from Fort Collins: 3 hours

Lift Ticket Price Range: $18 to $42

Description: Just outside of Casper, Hogadon is family friendly and has several runs at a variety of different skill levels. It offers skiing and snowboarding lessons and includes 60 acres of slopes.

  1. White Pine Ski Area

Distance from Fort Collins: 5 hours, 45 minutes

Lift Ticket Price Range: $6 to $48

Description: White Pine has mountains with an elevation of more than 9,000 feet, offering a beautiful view of the Wyoming landscape. It even includes a free Nordic ski terrain park.

  1. Grand Targhee Resort

Distance from Fort Collins: 8 hours

Lift Ticket Price Range: $0 to $75

Description: Grand Targhee has a wide range of terrain options and boasts heavy snowfall throughout the winter. The resort includes a tubing park and 15 kilometers of Nordic trails.
