October is just around the corner, and winter will be here before we know it! For those of us who are passionate about winter sports, this can only mean one thing: it’s time to dust off our ski and snowboard gear and get ready for our favorite season of the year!
If you’ve broken out your gear and maybe realized that you’re missing a few things – or if your gear simply needs to be replaced – be sure to stop by Outpost Sunsport’s 30th Annual Swap Sale!
This year, from October 4 – 9, take advantage of the two-part Swap Sale taking place at Outpost Sunsport (931 E. Harmony Road).
During the first stage of the Swap Sale, bring in your gently used gear to Outpost Sunsport anytime October 4 – 7th. We’ll be accepting gear such as skis, snowboards, boots, poles, and winter apparel – please be sure that all items are clean and in good repair.* For each item that you bring in to be sold at the Swap Sale, there is a $4 “item fee” – a portion of which will be donated to Respite Care of Fort Collins.
Respite Care is a local nonprofit organization which provides support and resources for children with developmental disabilities. Respite Care has served hundreds of families in our community through offering short term, quality care for children, respite to caregivers, and enhanced quality of life for the entire family.
If an item that you bring is purchased at the Swap Sale, you can choose to receive either 100% of the selling price in Outpost Sunsport store credit, or 50% of the selling price in cash. All unsold items must be picked up by October 11 at the latest, or they will be donated to a local charity.
The second stage of the Swap Sale is when things get really fun! Join us on October 8 & 9 for a massive community sale of used winter gear. Anyone is welcome to shop the sale, regardless of if you brought items to sell!
“Each year the event has grown,” said owner of Outpost Sunsport, Randy Morgan. “It’s just a nice community event where folks can bring in their used ski and snowboard equipment and apparel, and have it sold to those looking specifically for these items.”

* Unfortunately, we cannot accept items such as straight skis, rear entry boots, gloves, goggles, or helmets. Additionally, all bindings must meet DIN standards in order to be accepted.
