Copper Mountain Trails

If you haven’t ventured to Copper Mountain Resort, then you’ve been missing out!

Head up I-70, just passed Frisco, and you’ll find Copper Mountain, with over 2,400 acres of skiable terrain.  With over 140 trails and 23 lifts servicing the mountain there is lots to explore, and keeping yourself entertained surely won’t be a problem.  Base elevation is just over 9,700 feet above sea level and peaks out at 12,313 feet, so be prepared to be a little winded after your runs.

You’ll be able to do a little bit of everything during your time at Copper including, skiing, snowboarding, ice skating, tubing, cross country skiing, and more.  Copper has many different parks to check out as well, like Woodward at Copper, Eagle Jib Park, Jibberish Park, and the Kidz Park.  If you’re wanting to catch some air then head to their 13’ Pipe, or go bigger on the 22’ Main Vein Superpipe.  Stop by The Barn to perfect your new tricks on their supertramps and spring floors, and receive coaching from Woodward staff at the same time so you can tear it up on your own!

A little après ski never hurt anyone, that we know of at least, and there is plenty to do once you’re done on the slopes.  Whether you’re looking for a casual spot to grab a quick bite or drink, or something morning formal, there are lots of great options to choose from.  If you’re craving waffles in the morning you’ll want to check out the Belgian Bean, who offers excellent Belgian style waffles and gourmet coffee.  To take in the fresh mountain air, sit outside and enjoy great company and spectacular views at Jill’s Umbrella Bar, Copper’s only outdoor umbrella bar.  Finish your night off with some warm sake and sushi at Copper’s Storm King, who has nightly drink specials and a great late night happy hour.

Spend some time at the Copper Mountain Spa & Athletic Club to rejuvenate your body after a tough day on the mountain.  Offering facials and various styles of massages, they are designed to help relieve the stresses of the climate and your activities.  Visit their site to view all of their options.

At just a touch over two hours away, Copper Mountain Resort has lots to offer the beginner or expert on the slopes, and plenty for those who just want to get away!

Plan you next trip here!
