For over 60 years, Warren Miller’s films have presented fans with breathtaking vistas from ski country all over the world. Since 1949, Warren Miller Entertainment has produced a feature-length ski film each year with the intention of sharing high quality ski content with fans around the globe. This year is no different as WME prepares to release Line of Descent. This year’s films takes us on a journey spanning the globe, all the while exploring the aspects of “snow rider” culture that truly sets it apart from everything else.

A focus of WME’s during the production of Line of Descent was the journey from the time people first pick up a pair of skis to the time in which is becomes part of their lifestyle. This journey is different for everyone, as producer Josh Haskins expresses, ““More often than not, it’s family who introduces us to the sport or steers us on the path towards an ongoing passion—be it a ski bum lifestyle, a professional career or simply the desire to pass on the same feeling to the next generation. There is a kinship unlike any other in the ski community, and Warren Miller is the elder, bringing generations of skiers and riders together for 68 years, and this year is no different.” Line of Descent’s location list is impressive to say the least, including footage from:

  • Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows, CA
  • Silverton, CO
  • Steamboat, CO
  • Jackson Hole, WY
  • Beartooth Pass, WY/MT
