In Fort Collins, we are a tight-knit community that supports each other whenever we can! We love our small businesses and community protectors and strive to create an everlasting bond between each member of our strong and supportive community. We at Outpost Sunsport wanted to share our appreciation and support for the local Fort Collins EMTs, Police Officers, Medical Workers, and Firemen. All of the amazing work you do for our community doesn’t go unnoticed. We wanted to recognize each one of the divisions, to bring to light some of the great things they do to keep us all safe.
Fort Collins Police Services
Fort Collins Police Services is a progressive and professional organization, currently employing 225 sworn officers and 117 civilian staff. They aim to make Fort Collins the safest community in the nation. The Fort Collins police services serve the community by protecting life and property, preserving peace and order, preventing and detecting crime, enforcing laws and ordinances, and promoting the safe, efficient use of the City’s streets and highways. They have recently partnered with Crossroads Safehouse to discuss the services they provide to people experiencing mental health issues, sexual assault, and intimate partner abuse. We are so appreciative of the measures you have been taking to continue to better our Fort Collins community.
The Fort Collins EMTs are some of the highest trained, and loyal protectors of our community. They are always available to answer any questions or help with any issue you, a loved one, or another community member may have. As the first care providers, they examine the nature and severity of injuries and transfer the patient in a well-equipped vehicle. Then, they inform the hospital about the number of patients being brought in and their injuries and illnesses. You can find our trusted EMTs at any event our community puts on, and can always look to them for assistance and support.
Fort Collins Fire Department
Poudre Fire Authority (PFA) is a multi-faceted, all-hazards response agency. It is an organization, a family, and a community partner that is committed to protecting life and property by being prompt, skillful, and caring. Along with fire protection and prevention, the fire department offers emergency medical services, hazardous material mitigation, public education, risk prevention, water rescues, and high angles rescue. Their actions are anchored in the core values of courage, leadership, and duty. They aim to protect over 212,000 people and more than $41 billion worth of property, and they achieve that mission!
The Fort Collins medical workers dedicate their lives to keeping people safe in our community throughout all of our local hospitals. They were on the frontline during the peak of the COVID, protecting everyone and working tirelessly to save lives. We could not have gotten through that difficult time without them.
We appreciate all of the hard work that these amazing groups do to continue to make Fort Collins one of the best places in the nation. And we speak for everyone when we say THANK YOU! Keep up the fabulous work.
