The X Games are returning to Aspen from January 26-29, 2017, with the world’s best action sports. It’s free to attend and watch these experts compete at Buttermilk Mountain. Here are the Colorado athletes you won’t want to miss at the 2017 X Games.
Bobby Brown is a three-time X Games Aspen gold medalist from Breckenridge. He was the first skier to land two doubles in a run and the only skier to win two gold medals at the same X Games in 2010.
Alex Ferreira is an Aspen native who focuses on his technical ski prowess. He began attended the X Games in 2013 and has won two bronze medals.
Arielle Gold hails from Breckenridge focusing on her powerful snowboard style. She has finished in the top four in five of her X Games appearance with one silver and two bronze medals.
You guessed it! Taylor Gold is Arielle Gold’s brother. Taylor began riding at the age of seven and has appeared in three X Games. His most notable accomplishments include winning several Grand Prix competitions.
From Telluride is Gus Kenworthy. Kenworthy has become an X Games staple altering winning the AFP overall title five years running. He won two silver medal at the 2016 X Games and a bronze in 2013.
Matt Ladley is a Denver-based snowboard rider who took gold at the 2016 X Games. Ladley is a member of the U.S. Snowboard Pro Team and has made four appearances at the X Games.
After a brief stint with a harsh strain of strep, Torin Yater-Wallace is back on his skis and ready for the 2017 X Games. He’s one of the most talented superpipe skiers the discipline has seen, including earning his first gold by age 18 and three more after.
