Gear up for the ski season at Outpost Sunsport’s annual Swap Sale!
Snow has fallen in the high country for the first time this season! It may not be sticking yet, but the winter wheels are in motion. Are you ready for ski season?!
As you dust off your winter gear this fall, take a moment to asses what you need to be ready to hit the slopes on opening day. Whether you have children who have outgrown their equipment or maybe you are ready to try a different style of ski or snowboard, the annual Swap Sale at Outpost Sunsport provides a great opportunity to both sell and buy ski gear!
Never heard of the Swap Sale before? Here is the full rundown of how it works:
LOCATION
Rain, snow or sunshine, the Swap Sale takes place outside in the parking lot adjacent to the west facing doors Outpost Sunsport! (931 E. Harmony Rd. Fort Collins, CO 80525)
DATES & DETAILS
Gear Drop Off Dates: Thursday, Oct. 10 and Friday, Oct. 11 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The Swap Sale is a two-part ordeal. Part one consists of collecting items to sell! For those of you who have winter equipment that you would like to sell, swing by our store on October 10 or 11. Our staff will be ready to greet you, review your equipment and help you price it at a point that we hope will sell. We ask that you bring gently used skis, snowboards, boots, poles and winter apparel. All gear must be clean and in working condition. There is a $2 cost per item entered into the Swap Sale.
*We are no longer accepting dated equipment, loose bindings, straight skis, rear entry boots, or used gloves, goggles and helmets.
Sale Dates: Saturday, Oct. 12 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 13 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Part two is the fun part – it’s time to shop! Over the weekend, the official Swap Sale will be open to all community members (regardless if they entered equipment into the sale or not). Our side parking lot will be filled with ski and snowboard equipment of all sizes. You can think of this as the best winter garage sale that every was. It’s a one stop shop to find affordable winter equipment at incredibly affordable prices!
All sales are final. If you enter equipment into the swap sale that gets purchased, you will receive 100% of the selling price in the form of store credit to Outpost Sunsport OR you can opt to receive 50% of the selling price in cash.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Support Respite Care – All entry fees will be donated to Respite Care in Fort Collins. Respite Care is a nonprofit organization in Larimer County that provides short term, quality care for children with developmental disabilities, giving respite to their families, and enhancing the quality of life for the entire family.
Unsold Items: All items that do not sell must be picked up by Wednesday, October 16 or they will be donated.
Vendor Booths – Representatives from Arapahoe Basin Resort, Copper Mountain Resort, Eldora, Ikon Pass, Loveland Ski Area, and Snowy Range will be on site with discounted passes! Buy your lift tickets in person to save and get the latest scoop on what these resorts have in store for the ski season ahead!
